Every week or month Humming Bird Motors try to get involved with the local community and are constantly looking for ways to give back.
In this section you will find just a few of the recent events that we have put on. Motability Summer Spectacular
This weekend saw our ever popular annual Motability Summer Spectacular. Old and New Customers alike had the chance to view Motability adapted cars and get expert advice from our adaption specialists. Special thanks are due to 3 Counties Mobility, who supplied us with a range of wheelchairs, scooters and rollaters for customers to try out. It was our most successful Motability event yet, with lots of customers coming down to look at the latest offers including £0 advance deposit on many of the cars in the range.
Our visitors also had the chance to win tickets for 4 to the races and the cake sale raised £50 for Motability. We were also lucky enough to have our local celebrity BUZZIE join us to keep the kids entertained.

Fire Training Day
Being part of a local community means many things. This week was a chance for Humming Bird Motors to help the North Finchley Fire Service to one day save a life.
Part of the Fire Brigade’s duties are attending accidents involving motor vehicles and since every manufacturer's cars are different we decided to invite the local fire team to come down and meet with our Master Technician, Paul Ward to learn about Mitsubishi and Kia.
11 members of the fire service showed up with their fire engines and spent a few hours looking over the cars to understand how their safety systems work and where electrics and fuel systems could be found.
It was an excellent experience and Humming Bird Motors are proud to be able to help the men and women of the North Finchley Fire Service who put their own lives on the line for us every single day.
Commercial Vehicle Week
Ruggedness and practicality were the themes for Humming Bird Motors display last year at London Road, St Albans, designed to show off its Mitsubishi commercial 4x4 vehicles.
Aimed at local businesses and highlighted by L200 models at the entrance, a series of eye-catching ‘set designs’ met visitors to the showroom, utilising roadwork’s signage, traffic cones and a diversity of ‘cargos’ to demonstrate the versatility of the Mitsubishi 4x4 range.
The Mitsubishi commercial vehicles were dressed with props used to illustrate their rugged versatility. This week-long event generated a great deal of interest from local companies, proving that Mitsubishi means business.
Red Nose Day
In aid of Comic Relief 2007, we held a week long event at our Finchley showroom giving customers the opportunity to win a New Shogun or New Outlander by guessing the first letters of a random Registration number. Everyone who took a test drive during the week agreed to make a donation and we raised £100 for Comic Relief which was donated on Friday night. Little Sophie Chapman from Colchester who's just 8 yrs old was the winner of the Red Nose Sweepstake. Sophie generously decided to donate all her winnings to the appeal. As a thank you for her generosity, Sophie got to take home one of our large size Buzzies.
Kia Birthday Party
In October 2006, to celebrate our 2nd anniversary with Kia, we held a kid's birthday party. We had birthday cake and face painters for the kids, not to mention Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Spot the Buzzie and lots of delicious sweets! Parents had the chance to look at the fantastic range of models and superb deals we had throughout the Kia range.
Humming Bird at the Shops
Towards the end of last year Humming Bird Motors displayed Mitsubishi vehicles at Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Watford Harlequin. The photograph on the right shows our display at our Brent Cross stand. Customers were asked to leave their details for the chance to win £50.00 worth of Shopping Vouchers.
Planned 2007 Events
This year you will be able to find us at Brent Cross shopping centre several times. We will be displaying a range of Mitsubishi and Kia vehicles and will have regular competitions running.
Brent Cross Dates: May 21st - 27th / June 25th - 1st July / September 10th - 16th / October 1st to 7th / November 26th to 2nd December
We will also be attending St Mary's School Hawaiian themed Summer Fayre. We will have 2 vehicles on display and are sponsoring the Arts and Crafts tent. Come along and kids can colour in a Buzzie. The best picture on the day will win a Big Buzzie of their own. Not only that but there is the chance to win a brand new Shogun or Outlander. Just come over to the vehicles and 'Guess the Registration number' to win a car.
St Mary's School Fayre: July 8th
Following the success of our two previous Motorshows at Leggats Way Watford will again be attending the Watford Motorshow this year. This is the third annual show which is being held at an exciting new venue, Cassiobury Park in the heart of Watford. This is a great opportunity to view all the vehicles we have in our ranges in a relaxed open environment. Come down, share some refreshments with us and hopefully enjoy the sunshine.
