Coming Soon - Mitsubishi Evo X

The Power of X. It's Coming.
Taut, purposeful and menacing, the final look of Mitsubishi's Lancer Evolution X is revealed at last. Photographed by CAR Magazine at Mitsubishi's Okazaki design studio, this world exclusive shoot exposes the subtle changes that have turned January's Protoype X concept into a production car.
Ever-present are the saloon's rakish silhouette, chiselled body surfaces and functional vents to feed the turbocharger or cool hard-working parts. But the production bodykit is fitted at last, with a mesh-filled front bumper now containing chrome-ringed driving lamps and an offset registration plate. The high-tech production lamps are in place front and rear, along with the final, 12-spoke design of the alloy wheels, and twin oval exhausts.
More juicy technical details are also emerging. The all-new turbocharged 2.0-litre will kick out 300bhp and a meaty 325lb ft of torque. That grunt will be channelled to all four wheels via a six-speed manual, or a paddleshift automatic. The headline news is that this 'box has twin clutches, so that the next cog can be part-engaged to ensure seamless, rapid-fire changes.
